Nel hydrogen & Reliance industries signed technology licensing agreement

It gives us a great deal of pride to announce that we have signed a technology licensing agreement with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). This agreement grants RIL an exclusive license for Nel’s alkaline electrolysers in India and allows them to manufacture these electrolysers globally for their own use.

Reliance is an impressive company with enormous ambitions as a global producer of renewable hydrogen, and I am proud that they have selected Nel as their technology partner. In addition to supporting Reliance in achieving their global aspirations, Nel will through this agreement get a revenue stream from a rapidly growing market Nel could not have accessed on its own,” says Håkon Volldal, President and CEO of Nel.
 
RIL, a Fortune 500 company, is renowned for its large-scale projects and investments in sustainable technology, and are building a multi-GW fully integrated end-to-end new energy value chain, from photons to green molecules, paving the way for abundant and affordable access to sustainable energy for everyone. This partnership will leverage Nel’s proven technology platform and RIL’s execution prowess to drive forward the green hydrogen economy.
