Ansaldo Green Tech completed aem facility

Ansaldo Green Tech, a spin-off of Ansaldo Energia, has completed a high-volume anion exchange membrane (AEM) #electrolyzer #stack production line at its facility in Genoa, #Italy, with an annual production capacity exceeding 300 MW.

The line was developed under the ‘Turnkey Electrochemical Plants for H₂ Production’ project, supported by Italy’s PNRR and the European IPCEI Hydrogen programme, with more than €300 million in public funding behind the initiative.

The modular electrolyzer portfolio ranges from a 1 MW containerized unit producing around 500 kg of #hydrogen per day to multi-MW open-design systems for large-scale industrial use. The #electrolyzers are designed to operate dynamically alongside renewable energy sources, delivering pressurized hydrogen.

Commissioning and optimization activities will continue over the coming months ahead of the start of industrial production.
