Recently, the "50MW Wind Power Off-grid Hydrogen Production Integration Demonstration Project" jointly built by Aosen Special Steel and Hebei Branch of China Huadian Group Co., Ltd. was officially launched in Nanzhiqiu Town, Xinji City. The launch of this major project marks a solid step forward for Aosen Special Steel in the implementation of green energy transformation and zero-carbon strategy, and also means that the first new power system demonstration project of "green electricity to green hydrogen, green hydrogen to green electricity" in China has settled in Xinji, injecting new momentum into the hydrogen energy industry and high-quality development of Xinji City.

Zong Zhenhua, mayor of Xinji Municipal Government, first delivered a speech, fully affirming the exemplary role of Aosen Special Steel in promoting regional green and low-carbon development. He said that the municipal party committee and the municipal government will continue to support project construction and enterprise development, continue to optimize the business environment, strengthen policy and service guarantees, and jointly promote the high-quality development of Xinji's hydrogen energy industry.

 

Bai Chunguang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of China Huadian Group Hebei Branch, said in his speech that Huadian Group will give full play to its technical and experience advantages in the field of renewable energy to ensure that the project is completed and put into operation with high quality, and help Xinji build a green and low-carbon energy system. Cao Yanan, Executive Director of Aosen Special Steel, emphasized in his speech that this project is a key measure for Aosen Special Steel to implement the "dual carbon" strategy and promote the green upgrading of the industry. The project adopts wind power direct connection hydrogen production technology to achieve efficient synergy of green electricity and green hydrogen, significantly optimize the energy structure, and provide solid support for the construction of zero-carbon parks. He also said that Aosen Special Steel is actively promoting the application of national zero-carbon demonstration parks, and looks forward to working with Huadian and other partners to create a demonstration benchmark for hydrogen energy application in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.

 

 

The 50MW wind power off-grid hydrogen production integration demonstration project launched this time has a total investment of 405 million yuan, integrating wind power, hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and hydrogen refueling. The project innovatively adopts the "off-grid operation" mode, and realizes the efficient recycling of green energy through direct supply of wind power to hydrogen production, surplus electricity consumption in iron and steel enterprises, and hydrogen gas turbines to adjust the load. The project embodies the professional technology and experience of China Power Construction Beijing Institute, China Construction First Bureau, Goldwind Technology and Tianshan Hi-Tech, and is a model of multi-party collaboration and win-win cooperation. After the completion of the project, it will provide about 80.84 million kWh of green electricity and about 650 tons of green hydrogen for Aosen Special Steel every year, meeting 89% of the current hydrogen demand of Aosen Special Steel Group, breaking through technical bottlenecks in green power hydrogen production, hydrogen energy storage, hydrogen energy transportation and other fields, and filling the gap in the whole industrial chain of green hydrogen production, storage, transportation and application in Xinji City.
